I can't find anywhere which sells multis, does anyone know of any shops in England where I can get some? (I'm in the south west)

Hardly anyone even seems to know what a shell-dweller is round here ("shell-dweller, do you mean like a hermit crab?", let alone the different species.....

Also a good place for buying shells for them would be really helpful (possibly online?), I've got hold of a few, but not enough yet.

Cheers

- i found the best thing with shells is to just keep your eyes open for them all the time. keep an eye on ebay.co.uk, craft shops, also the mixed bags your lfs might sell will have quite a few suitable sized ones. big empty snail shells from the garden will work, also apparently 'escargot' shells from your local supermarket/delicatessen are a good size (never found them myself).

Tri-Mar Aquaria are based in cornwall and also will deliver fish for 10, overnight delivery and live arrival guaranteed. they currently have multies in stock.

try your local french resteraunt, thats where i got my escargot shells from and my multis love them. i have a breeding colony of 8 in a 30x18x18" tank with 3m 5f, 3 females currently have fry and the other 2 are setting up to breed!!
these fish are great fun to watch as they re-arrange your carefully arranged sand to what suits them!! try to get 3 or 4 shells per fish and have at least 2" of sand for them to dig in, i find playsand to be ideal for them.
