 | Cacatuoides Laying On A Leaf! |
jase101  Big Fish Posts: 345 Kudos: 273 Votes: 1 Registered: 06-Jul-2004   | despite there being several spare nesting caves, both natural and man-made, one of my harem of a.cacatuoides has decided to lay her batch on the top of a leaf of an ozelot sword plant, and on the bottom of another leaf which is draped over the first! it's right at the front of the tank, so i'm able to watch the whole process quite well. but i'm a bit surprised - the leaves are about 8 inches above the gravel, and while it kinda is cave-like, it's certainly not a cave! i'd not heard of cacs laying on leaves, or so far up in the water column. |
