2 Blue Acaras to my 55 gallon tank?

Current inhabitants are...

18 Cardinal Tetras
8 Corydoras Leucomelas (1 C. Ambiacus)
and a breeding pair of Blue Rams.

So would 1 or 2 of these guys be alright?

Thanks

i would be in fear that the cardinals might become dinner for the 2 Acaras when they get a lil bigger, as well they might stress out the rams, are u planning on a couple m-f or 2-f or 2-m? I believe when they are is spawn mode they get very agressive as well.

I'm probably just going to get 1 knowing how cichlids can be when they breed.

The cardinals are actually quite big. Most are near full grown and the Acaras only get about 6 inches according to the profile on this site. I'm not too worried...unless others have had bad experiences with smaller tetras and Acaras?

Anyone with firsthand experience, please help me out.

Blue acaras are generally more aggressive than all of the other fish in your tank, even when not exhibiting breeding behavior. You've already got a stock list featuring small, peaceful fish. I personally would just keep running with that. Though blue acaras are supposedly peaceful enough to be included in community tanks, there's the chance that they may become a menace to the other fish.
