I have got one about 7 inches in length and he/she is docile as any fish is!!! How can u tell the sex? Can i have another one of the same or opposite sex or would this upset the community?? The Severums are 4 & 3 inches and I suspect one is a male and the other female. The Male has longer anal and dorsal fins, they trail back to points. I did have another Severum about the size of yours and it was a cranky son of a fish. I tried putting another in with him and he beat the snot out of it. But then he beat the snot out of everything except the Oscar which had a couple inches on him. I sold that one to a guy who wanted a cool centerpiece and bought another which is now six inches. He is docile and plays well with others. I think it depends on the individual. Good luck, Mike |
