Hi,

I need to know what kind of catfish/ loaches would be ok with a GT in a 63g tank.

I had 12 kuhli loaches lats weekend and they seemed to be ok with the GT , shame they came with a fatal disease, LFS told me the whole batch had been dodgy.

Thanks for any suggestions

you know that GT get up to 12" long and extremly aggresive like to eat live fish if you keept thoes coolies in there much longer they would be food I would go with raphel catfish they have a spikey skin they are really cool. How big is the GT they grow a little fast he will boss any fish around. you could get a royal pleco. or a gold nugget pleco.

Synodontis Angelicus,Syno. Eupteruptus, Stripped Raphael Cat, Gibbiceps Pleco. All would prolly do well with a GT. The Gibby would get to big for a 63, but that would not be for a while(L-001 are similar to a gibby but stay smaller). Be sure to get a bigger cat than your GT. I donot recommend any loaches for that tank. Also look into a smaller Bichir type for a different option.

I have 2 striped raphaels with my convicts, salvinis and jewels. I think they would do well with the GTs. Occassionally my con likes to pick one up and shake him about if he is stealing the Con's food, but the cat goes back to munching on the Con's share of goodies like nothing ever happened.

They are also very good looking.

Tiger or Red Tail Botias.

I have both in a 70 gallon with a Texan and Midas and no problems in the last six months.
