I had help IDing him...the only photos i had to compare him to were that of th auratus, but they had never matched up...someone showed me a Chipokae that looks Closer. Although, my fish is black and purple, not black and silver. I have had this guy for a few years so I understand his behaviors, however I'm looking for information on how Big he might get, what he Should be eating...any new ways to keep him entertained...he is a highly intelligent, very bored fish. He can clear the rocks in the tank to the corners in just a couple hours, he systematically moves plants and the bubble screen, and he has a fetish for trying to eat my kitten thru the glass, and chasing a laser pen light.

Well, they're closely related to auratus - what is it about the fish that makes you think it's not that more common species?
