Usually are ambush feeders, so they do eat small fish and fry. Calvus..also in different variants, white, black, inkfin, congo inkfin, etc. These are also hard to get a large one. These also are ambush feeders. Usually they are kept solo or in trios or large colonies. They are aggressive among each other, but not the point of death, i would say they are more territorial. A good pellet food or flake is great, as long with some vegetable matter (like spirulini sp?) These are pretty $$. Wild ones are sometimes available, but will make a hole in your pocket. If you are trying to start a colony, get ones at least 1-2", smaller ones grow REALLY slow. Hope this helped. |
