If I put a school of cories in with a pair of convicts would the convicts attack them?

Im guessing that if you raise them together then the convicts might be _less_ agressive

The outcome will depend on several factors (tank size, the size of the cories, the aggressiveness of each convict, etc.), but it is safe to say that the convicts will eventually get the cories. To a seven-inch fish, a Corydoras catfish looks like a little appetizer, despite their spines. Some of the larger Brochis species might work though, if you can find some.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

in a large enough tank you could probably keep convicts with cories. I would grow them up together and probably go with no less than a 55 gallon tank. So long as the cories grow to at least 2" I don't think even a full grown con could simply eat one.

if you are looking for a bottom feeder for the tank (aassuming it is big enough) try a bristlenose catfish or a pictus cat.... neither one will lay down for the convicts and they do a nice job

striped or spotted raphael cats should also work but won't be as active or visible as cories or pictus.

I think that the Corydoras will be killed. I would try a Pictus.

Right now I have in a 55 Gal. tank a pair of Convics (male 5", female 3",Pleco 6.5", orange fin loach 4", Synodontis eupterus 3.5", 4 giant danios 2-3.5", and 2 Boesemani Rainbow 2.5-3" and a 3.5" rainbow shark. This is a pretty good set up right now. I don't seem to have too many problems. The convicts seem to have a bit of a problem with my Synodontis because they are making a nest at the base of the drift wood that he hangs out on but most of the time they don't mess with him. The Loach and Plece don't run into much trouble with the convics. I have lots of hiding spots for them so the stay out sight most of the time and don't cause issues. Also I might just have an extra nice pair of Convits compared to most from some of the horror stories that I have heard about them.

so what tank size i'd wouldn't risk corys, id go with an asain bumblebee cat or a doradid(sp) like a spotted rapheal though you wouldn't see them that much if that is what you wanted...
