"She" is about a year old now. Im afraid she was an impulse buy, I have no idea what she is, except shes similar in size and shape to my other cichlid, a P. Socolofi.

Her fins look bluish in that picture, but i think it was just the flash on the camera, they are realy mostly white.

Thanks in advance for your help. Also, if you can tell me if she is male or female, that would be helpful.

probably a zebra, but no idea, there's like 1000 different species of mbuna, not counting the petstore mutts, (sad)

and probably a male - from the fin spots, but you'd get a better idea if he was shaking his tailfins around other females - hovering around rocks

I had one just like that! Mine had some black spots...
My LFS sold it to me as an "Orange Blotch" cichlid. Hope this helps...

Orange Blotch is also a red zebra: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1729

It says that male red zebras are usualy blue, but that orange ones are becoming more common. Apparently the red form is supposed to be female.
Which means I still have no idea if she is male or female
Ah well.
