[font color="#000080"] I've made up my mind, the kribs will go in in about 2 weeks time. Just have a couple of question that i hope you guys can help me with before i go and buy those kribs.

1) The LFS only have females at the moment (males will come later), the all show really beautiful colout (include really really red belly). They are quite small, i think they are no larger than 1.5 inches. Can i get the female first, and the male a couple of weeks later?

2) If the female is left the tank too long by her self, will she still be able to breed once a male is introduced?

3) Are kribs sensitive to chemicals in the water such as NO3 etc?

4) Should i get a larger male or a larger female or the same size for both?

Thanks,
Jimmy

1) Yes it will be fine if you add the male later. I added my male about 1 month after the female and they have bred successfully about 3 times.
2) I would think she would be able to breed, but im not sure.
3) Not too much.
4) Same size would be better, but it really doesnt matter. My female is about 1.5 inches and my male is about 3.5 inches and they have bred many times.

Good luck!

Kribs are easy breeders and I see no problem in introducing them seperately. They are fairly hardy but I wouldn't recommend that they be the first fish into a new set up - particualarly if you wish for them to breed successfully
