As far as color they are both pretty cool, the female gets a dark purple belly. The male gets these light blue highlights on the leading edges of his pectoral fins. That's the best way to tell. However, many people don't realize that both males and females get a red belly. Usually the males' are more pink and not as bright as the females' purplish red. Also, the older the krib, the easier it is to sex. |
