340 gallon cichlid tank

1 Escondido Texas Cichlid
1 Gold Saum Green Terror
1 Vieja synspila
5 Firemouths
1 Clown Catfish
5 Clown Loaches

Need ideas on what kind of schooling fish would survive in this tank. I don't want my dither fish getting as BIG as my large cichlids (Tinfoil Barbs :%))

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

peace

Monos or Silver dollars

Will the Silver Dollars be bullied to death, or are they fast enough and hardy enough to survive? I personally have had no experience with this fish. Thanks for the ideas My search on the internet have discovered that there are several varieties of silver dollars as well.

Giant Danios are great too. My husband had them in as dithers for his large/aggressive cichlids and they worked great!!

I'd go with either silver dollars or maybe clown barbs. They get to five or six inches, and are (I think) pretty good schoolers.

Aren't monos brackish fish? They won't do well in a freshwater tank, and cichlids don't like brackish water.

monos can be what ever water type you put them in I have read stuff on them where they have bred in all types of water, I keep mine in fresh and they are very healthy. In the wild they usually start in brackish water then eventually swim out to sea, but in captivity they adapt very well to all water types

fish1 why do you think they are best in brackish, I would have to disagree with you, they adapt to any water very well
