	Does anyone have experience with Blood Parrots?
petstoregirl80 Fingerling Posts: 22 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 30-Jan-2006	what did you need to know? they are hybids that are usely a sevrium/red devil or convit/sevrim cross i have had both There are also "jellybean" parrots but i'm not sure what they are. the "blood"parrots are usely the dyed ones but petsmart sells them under that name and there not dyed.

My father has a thing for these fishes, so they have always been in the house, they will get quite big, and powerful. Even though they can't close their mouths, they can still head butt smaller fishes, so keep with larger fishes. with the dyeing(not to start a big disscussion like always) yes SOME of them are injected etc. how ever this color only last a few months. usually yellow ones are natural colors, and the birth color is usually black/grey ish.

The male's fins were longer than the females. The fish would breed and lay eggs, but typical to the fish, the eggs were not viable. These fish were aggressive, especially when breeding. They would charge at anything close to their nest, including hands and arms. They also had little "nubs" in their mouth that hurt a little when they attacked. hope this helps, KMLubahn6609 I've got a fever... and the only prescription... is more cowbell!
