Right now I'm planning a 150g Tang aquarium. I'm going to have sand, and some slate with other rock work.
Fish: Lamprologus Stappersi, Julidochromis transcriptus, Altolamprologus calvus, and a school of Cyprichromis.

I was wondering if I should put some drift wood in with them, or if the rock work would be enough? Also, would it look weird if I had rock work and drift wood?

Thanks for the replies in advance

adding driftwood is more about whether you want it in there more than wether you should or should not add it.

A rock aquascape would suffice for the Tangs.

As for rocks and driftwood, yes it is possible to make a nice aquascape using the two but you will have to spend sometime on the arrangement and composition so that it is pleasing to the eye and the driftwood looks to be part of the aquascape. the type of rocks and wood will determine the challenge of incorporating them both.

Eh, rocks and driftwood usually dont match, so thats the problem. If your going to use driftwood, usually it looks best as a terrarium or a habitat setup for CA/SA cichlids.

Usually longer pieces of driftwood looks better than smaller ones in a tang tank.

Here was my attempt a while back with driftwood and rocks:
