"They don't often eat their fry"

Some info i found on the net

So i guess there still is a chance they could eat their fry. But i'm sure they would be ok.

there are alot of variables in the statement. a mother wont eat her own fry soon as she spits them out...if she spits them out. if they feel that the current situation would be pointless to let fry out in then they will swallow them. natures way of replasing the mothers lost energy and not feeding the surrounding fish. if there are other tank mates in the tank they will be more then happy to eat them also.

i have 5 yellow labs in my tank and ive had a holder on a monthly basis and never seen fry.

Thanks alot for your reply's. The tank is not very big, i'm going to upgrade it very very soon. They had fry before & only 1 survived, she was holding again & nobody survived & now i'm seeing 2 or 3 small fry again.
I think it's time to speed up & buy a new tank.

"Whats the best thing to feed electric yellows"

A good varied diet as Sin feeds his.
Also foods high in beta-carotene(spelling), helps bring out their best yellows.
These foods are often labeled as color enhancers in LFS
