ok my tank is a 45 gallon community tank.
it has one fully grown angel fish and another angel that's half the size of the other one, and 2 bolivian rams. and a pleco.

i've seen a tank before with angelfishes and yellowlabs but the angel fish was a juvenile

would this work for me?

Yellow Labs come from Lake Malawi- where the water is basic and hard
Angelfish come from the Amazon- where water is acidic and soft
These fish also come from very different types of environment
One comes from a plantless rocky lake, the other from a planted river
The fish may live together peacefully but one or both of them would not be in a suitable tank, so dont mix them.

As was rightly pointed out, these fish come from different environment. Although they can adapt to these different water parameters in the long run, angelfish would have to compete hard with the electric yellows. They are fast swimmers and would outswim the angelfish for food. I would not try to mix them together as they have different needs and different aquascaping.

not a good idea.

african cichlids should only be grouped with other africans...south american cihclids should be grouped with only south americans...., and even then there are still many exceptions.

as already stated, the tank set up required for these fish to be in good health are complete opposites. In addition, yellow labs are pretty calm in general, but certain individual fish (males specifically) may be pretty aggressive. It will also beat the crap out of your pleco. I had a tank with 4 yellow labs once and a synodontis catfish and over a few weeks the cats fins and skin got nipped so much that I had to transfer him to another tank and then he only lived for like a week.
