![]() | Electric Yellows in a 38g |
PondCometer![]() Fingerling Posts: 31 Kudos: 22 Votes: 5 Registered: 25-Nov-2004 ![]() ![]() | Well I am looking to get a 38g tank, and stock it with the beautiful Electric Yellow Lab, I was wondering what would be a good ratio M/F and also how many. Along with that how to sex them at a small size about 2'' and what would be good tankmates Thanks! Last edited by PondCometer at 09-Mar-2005 20:20 |

Gibson SG you know you want one!! |

Or if you want another species go with 1 male, 2 female yellow's and maybe a Peacock species, or maybe a trio of Ps. Acei. Probably 6 fish. ![]() The Blk. to the fins can be a hint or a good starting point but the only way to be 100% is to vent them. Any reputable LFS should have someone to do this for you. Watch them closely as even a 38g, maybe to small as they reach maturity. A 55g is usually minimum for a large number of fish. Good luck ![]() Last edited by mr_cichlid at 07-Mar-2005 21:18 |

You'll be able to fit in more if they're still small, but you'll need to find another tank for them later on. I'll watch out on tank mates, a 38g isn't real big so i wouldn't really put any haps/peacocks in there. Just some similar size mbunas would be good in with the yellows. Good Luck ![]() Last edited by PJ at 10-Mar-2005 04:08 |
