I have a 30 Gal tank with 1 firemouth and want to have more cichlids. What kind and how many cichlids can I put in my tank? Thanks.

your best bet would be to get some more firemouths and grow them up until a pair forms. then you can keep a pair in there with some top dwelling dithers. firemouths get to a pretty good size (6" or so) and mixing a firemouth with other cichlids in a 30 can be very tricky...especially as the cichlids get bigger.

I have jack dempsey, green severum, blue ram, and a gold gourami in my 55 gl. tank.
The jack dempsey and the firemouth have a great time playing around with each other.
Since you have 30 gallon tank I would go with gouramis

might get to big for the tank, but i would go with a green terror, or more firemouths.

a green terror and firemouth in a 55 gallon is a really bad idea. the green terror will eventually outgrow the firemouth and be a much more powerful and aggressive fish. firemouths for the most part are all bark and no bite...green terrors can and will back themselves up.
