I just bought 3 Flowerhorns and put them in a 55gal tank. What I wonder is... when they grow up and become more agressive, will they start to attack eachother?? Or will they establish there own territories?? Right now they just swim around together, but eventually I think that will change. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Would really recommend keeping flowerhorns as a individual fish, you must remember that most are hybrids of some of the most aggressive american cichlids around. It very likely that once they have grown a bit all hell will break loose!

fisrtly that tank is too small for even 1 adult flowerhorn ......... for 3 i reccomend a 1800g+ but u may still get aggression and the odd fihgt between them though

6x2x2 - Firemouth and Oscar Tank
30+ royal pythons.

Back in the game after 4 years out ..

Hey
Neil i think that maybe a wee bit to big i would say about 100 that may do the trick but if not when get a 150+ that will def do the trick.

Just a warning. The aggression will come sooner then you think and your last man standing at the end will never grow to it's full potential in a 55 gallon tank. Be prepared to remove 2 fish at any given time. Things can get ugly fast even with 2 inch fish.

I thought and was hoping that's what you meant. Honestly, 75 gallons would be a minimum for a single flowerhorn, imo. they can get quite big (14-16" and most are extremely aggressive. you're definitely going to need a much bigger tank in 6 months to a year if you plan to keep all 3.
