i would like to ask for some advice with this, do you people think that an oscar ciclid and a frontosa ciclid can be compatible in a 55 gallon tank?

no, frontosa like phs around upper 8's. and the oscar shouldn't be in a 55 anyway even by itself. frontosas like groups so this would be a big disaster.

A 55g is too small for either once full grown.

Frontosa' and Oscars aren't compatible because they're from different regions and require different water conditions. Also aggression can be a big problem.

A good tip is to never mix african cichlids with american cichlids.

Frontosas are afican cichlid that generally enjoy to be in a school. Hence a 55G is too small.

Oscars are south american cichlids that will out grow a 55G just by itself.

If you want to get some cichlids, I think blue acaras will be nice.
Or maybe green terrors, they have beautiful colour, but be careful of the size and aggression.

At the moment, I have a breeding pair of convicts with 1 larger blue acara in my 55G, but the blue acara will need to be removed.

An Oscar need a bigger tank than a 55 gal.& Frontosa's need to be in a school, & so they need a big tank.
