What can anyone tell me about this fish? Is it peaceful? What would be suitable tank mates? I was considering a pair for in my 75g planted tank. Fish in there are 1 angelfish, 2 keyhole cichlids, buenos aires tetras, red and boesmani rainbowfish, and assorted bottom dwellers (loaches, catfish, pleco). Just as with any cichlid make sure they have enough room for their territories. And be prepared to move them or everyone else in the event of a spawning. Tank mates would be any non aggressive fish that couldn't fit into their mouth. A planted tank probably won't take their abuse as they are big time diggers.
