I have 2 pair of sevs and 1 of the males is gold. My local sev expert told me that green/gold pairings rarely result in furtile eggs. |

If the green Sev has the recessive gold-color gene, then roughly half of the fry will be pure gold. Otherwise, they'll all be green. Now, if those fry happen to interbreed, then a quarter of the grandchildren will be gold. Most color traits, however, aren't controlled by a single gene, so it probably isn't that easy. ![]() |
