Hi
Need some help. I have a 100 litre tank, with one 5 inch male Green terror in it. Is it possible to add another fish? He is a mean fish, as you may all know (Green Terrors!!). I brought him a year ago with another Green terror. The shop owner told me that they would get on just fine (right!). I have re-homed the other fish, but the tank looks a little pathetic with a single fish on its lonesome.

I'm fully aware that they need a robust partner, and will realise he will be quite hard to calm, but anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks!
p.s He is a beauty, very handsome and a complete nutter!

:-)

Thanks
Frontosa_blue (Paul)

What exactly happened that made you rehabilitate the other terror? Oftentimes when a cichlid is aggressive they are either determining a heirarchy or testing each other on the prospect of whether they are right for each other in terms of partnership and eventual mating. So unless the aggressive behavior was extreme it might have actually been nothing at all.

Thanks-I'm getting a huge 5ft tank next month.

The other Terror was a male, and he nearly killed him. He was in a right mess. So a friend has him with a female and they are getting on really good.

Thanks for your help.

If your plan is to add more fish, I recommend, adding more than just one. It will spread the agression from just a one-on-one battle. A female GT with some dithers/target fish would be a good combo.

I would wait though until you get the bigger aquarium.

Thanks guys,
It just goes to show that not all stockists know about all types of fish. I'm going to buy a really big tank in 2 weeks time. So I should be able to give him the space he needs in about 4-6 weeks.

What fish can I keep with him???

Thanks again Paul
