That's right! My pigeon blood (F) and one of the Blue Turks decided to set up housekeeping after all! The amazing thing is that all the rest of the discus are keeping their distance in the 46 gallon bowfront tank! I missed my latest tank cleaning as well and they decided to lay their eggs on one of the heaters. Mom and Pop are guarding the eggs dilegently while everyone else stays at the front of the tank. If this works out, I'll have to get another tank set up toot sweet! Time to check the want ads for some cheap tanks!

Well I got home yesterday and all of the eggs had disappeared. Somebody had a good fill of extra protein. Oh well, at least I know that I must be doing something right! I hadn't planned on a breeding program anyway. Maybe next time.

it is a tank that has a bowed front instead of a straight one

i think it is acrylic not sure .... only ever had straight front tanks

well done techjak .... also that is a bummer jacquie .... they will get it wright ... u feeding them enough ... they need extra food when breeding ...... it could be down to uexperoence ... good luck to the both of u

That's for sure! So far I've gotten five free tanks! Two from dumpsters and three given to me. One was complete with stand, filter and heater!
