How long is the wait period before the angelfish eggs hatch... just wondering cause i really want to see it happen...:%)

They should be wigglers within two days, free swimming five days later.

A wiggler is just an egg with a tail that wiggles like mad at first. they gradually turn into a fishlike thing called a fry.

its been a day and a half since I noticed to eggs they are starting to turn to a light brown instead of the darker brown that they started off with... is this normal

Just leave them on their own. The parents will remove any fungused eggs & leave the healthy ones. They are good parents & you don't have to worry much. Just be patient.

looks as though it is survival of the fitess in my community tank... all the eggs that were brown have disappeared now all that is left is the really light ones

Look around. Are the Angels hanging around on particular spot? Is there a mass of what looks like brown algea swishing faster than the current would account for. Angels often move the wigglers to a plant leaf or rock or ornament. The white eggs are infertile, the brown ones are the good eggs.

Look carefully, I bet they are there somewhere.

The Angels might have moved the fry to another place. Take a very carefull look at your tank & try to spot them.
