How worried should I be? | |

The male, over night has what I'd describe as some membrane hanging off around his right eye. More of a protusion around half its circumfrence actually. He's not swimming in circles so I believe the eye is still useful however he didn't show much interest at feeding time. Did he get pecked at, is it a disease, is this one of those things, is it doomed? Any thoughts? |

Give the melafix a shot for a few days and see if it heals. Caught early this may no cause problems, let it go too far and the eye and indeed the fish may be lost. Get straight to it and nip it in the bud with antibacterials, if you leave it, itll be antibiotics, and that is a lot more trouble. |
