Trojan_man![]() Enthusiast Posts: 204 Kudos: 191 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Aug-2004 ![]() ![]() | What??! I notice my green terror with its breeding tube hanging out and is getting extremely aggressive with every fish in the tank. He/she been digging lots of holes lately and using his/her(I can't tell) mouth to clean a rock. But the problem is...I only have ONE GREEN TERROR! Heres my 200 gallon tank. 1 green terror(I do not see him/her pairing with anything) 1 flowerhorn(can't be, hes in the far right side, while gt on left) 1 jack dempsey(green terror is attacking him the most) 1 red devil(hes more interested in the midas ![]() 1 midas(she love food) 2 oscars(They're spawning soon! ![]() 1 salvini(hide all day) All the other fish aren't cichlid. Whats ur guess? Thanks:88) |

You can get a male to fertilize the eggs, only if they are compatible. Usually after a while and alot of fighting. If it laid eggs, no doubt it's a female, but the eggs are unfertilized which mean they turn white usually within 24 hours. Of course, if your GT is trying to cross breed, thats a whole new story. |

Wasting time and money($9 for 5" gt, not bad). Wow I never knew fish would get confuse! ![]() Last edited by trojan_man at 12-Jan-2005 22:49 |

Many female cichlids, when kept alone will still prepare spawning sites and lay eggs. Once the eggs start to fungus she will eat them. It's really pretty common. ![]() |
