Hi,

over the next few months i plan on emptying my tank and starting over again.

I would like 1 or maybe a pair of decent sized fish for my tank.

From what i have read, the tank isnt big enough for an oscar but any ideas to what i could put in there would be great.

Thanks

I would go with a Malawi community tank.

I'll second the Malawi tank...
If your looking to breed go species tank, if not go community

Get a Severum They are really cool, but you can only keep one probably...maybe 2 since it is a 63 gallon, but I'm not sure.

If you don't go with them, go for a pair of Firemouths

I agree with beta chris but as for GT u could only keep one in that small tank because they do grow to about 12.5 inches if raised healthy. But convicts are GT are what i am currently raising and am going to get a 200 gallon tank for them shortly. But if u want to keep your tank and get new fish i would say get black convicts (3). I wouldnt get any more than that because they will breed very fast. Here are some pictures of convicts.

and here are some pictures of GT

Ive gone with the Gt, had him for over a week now and he seems to be doing fine. Already has nice colour and seems to be getting used to me and doesnt shy away anymore.

Called him spike - dont know why, seemed like a good name.

I will get a picture of him on the net tonight, he is quite sociable and likes attention i think.

How fast do they grow? At the moment he is around 2-3 inches
