I have been trying and trying to identify a few of my cichlids to make sure I get them into a proper enviroment, but have had no luck with a few of them. (yes I know I should have done this BEFORE I purchased them, but I was just getting started and hadn't yet realized there's a lot more to it than water and a filter )

Anyway, I believe I have one of them figured out to be a female Maylandia Estherae (if anyone has any ideas of a similarly colored fish -bright orange- let me know!)
But I am still completely stumped by two of them. Any help you could give me would be great! I have searched through lists and lists online and can't find anything close!

Here we go,
the first is light blue/almost purpleish solidly colored with longer fins than my johanni and yellow lab. It also has three yellow egg shapes on its anal fin and a huge mouth compared to any of my other fish.

The second is pink in color, similarly shaped and sized to the one above, also has egg spots on anal fin, and little pink dots on all of its fins, would venture to say these two are closely related due to similarities in the mouth, size, and fin length.

I know this isnt a lot of info but its all I can do for now, I'm hoping one of the fish fanatics out there will atleast be able to lead me in the right direction!

Thanks!

Do you have a way to get pictures of them?

Unfortunately no, although I'm sure it would make this a whole lot easier.

Pseudotropheus Socolofi (Eduard"s Mbunu)
" Zebra (Zebra Cichlid, Nyassa Blue Cichlid)
" Tropheops (Golden Tropheops)

The book says that last one has different color morphs.

All of them are from Lake malawi.

Good Luck, Mike

I tried those, but the body shape is different. I definetely don't think they are Mbuna. They aren't that torpedo shaped, they are more fish shaped. Oh boy I'm just a big help I know. Also longer fins that that, more airy like a sailfin.
Thanks for the help, please keep the ideas coming!

Their shape is closer to my Borleyi, and longer pelvic fins.

could the first one (the blue one) be an electric blue ahli? I have no clue on the second one though.
