Will a jewel cichlid fit into a 29 gallon tank?? I moved all of my other fish into a 20 gallon tank and now I want a Jewel cichlid. Is it possible?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

it would be quite a tight fit and i wouldnt recommend it, but if you could keep angels in 29g i guess it would be ok, only id imagine it getting stunted at about 5 or so inches.

you gotta be a little patient...it may sometimes take a day or so but your questions will get answered.

I don't think a jewel would get stunted in a 29 gallon. they usually only grow from 4-6" anyway so I think a single pair would be fine in a 29. I'd go with a breeding pair and not put anything else in there.

yes I think a single jewel would be just fine in a 29. this is assuming we're talking about a red jewel though and not one of the 5 spot jewels.

jack dempsey will grow too large to be kept in a 29 gallon, imo. even females can grow up to 8" if not a little larger.
