	Julidochromis Transcriptus???
ctt33 Enthusiast Posts: 154 Kudos: 148 Votes: 0 Registered: 14-May-2004	I was at another LFS looking for some Keyhole cichlids when the lady showed me these Juli. trans. She said that they could go in a community tank as well. As I stated in other posts I have a black and white scheme going in my tank. Does anyone know much about this fish. She kept calling it a black and white juli. I am looking for some reliable info because my lfs info has been shaky. My tank- 46gallon bow front. 2-Peal gourami 9-Black phantom tetras 7-Albino corys

Reiner Enthusiast Posts: 282 Kudos: 102 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Jun-2002	They are from Lake Tanganyika in Africa and thrive in very hard water with a pH of 8 and above. Your Cory's and the Tetras on the other hand are from South America and thrive on a pH of 7 or below. Try to find cichlids from South America like the Keyhole if possible since they are way more compatible.

Reiner Enthusiast Posts: 282 Kudos: 102 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Jun-2002	There are really not many cichlids that are black and white and are peaceful enough to go with your community tank setup (at least I can't think of any) so keep searching for the Keyhole cichlid.
