I had a pair of German blue rams but the male died some months ago. I have been looking for a replacement and I found one, except it's a juvi. Would it be ok to put that in a 10 gallon tank with an adult female? There are no other fish in the tank but it does have hiding places.

G for it, as long as he has some places to hide. Since rams like company and are supposed to be in groups, so i'm guessing your females is lonely and wants company.

I've got a fever... and the only prescription... is more cowbell!

I dont see any problems but make sure to sex them properly. I have 2 males and I had hoped they would pair up. A friend of mine has 2 males and are best chums. My guys claimed stake on opposite ends of the tank. Its almost like a war game. They dont hurt each other but its annoying to watch LOL.
