I have lost some cichlids in my tank..be it survival of the fittest or not..im just curious.. are juvinile firemouths just relentless for killing or not? The occupants of this tank are in my profile. i lost a juvi livingstonii, and a male peacock that was the same size as the firemouths... whats up with that? ![]() ![]() 72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up 75 gallon: A. But, as for the culprit, and not knowing the size of your fish and such, I would consider the Blue Johanni as one of the most aggressive fish around. There is always a bigger fish... |

Since that happened it is almost entirely placid. It is a year on, and it hardly bothers any ofg the other fiash at all, of which tiger barbs are the toughest. I think nfiremouths are generally reckoned to be one of the more peaceful cihlids, for size at least. At least towards other species. I would be suerprised if it was your firemouths doing the damage. |
