Hi guys

Yesterday i bought 2 keyholes and 1 krib.
My tank is a 75g.
I have these fish:
Hoplo catfish,Pleco,6 Green tiger barbs,3 zebra danios and albino redtail shark.
Will they be ok with these fish?
I only bought 1 krib because someone said that they can be aggressive and tear your fish apart...is that true?
I read the profile and it says that they are peaceful though.
Thanks,
Robby

Well, it might be me who told you they will tear fish apart.
My sister bought 2 kribs and put them in her tank with a medium size angel, 6 corys, 1 weather loach, 6 Pristella Tetras, 12 neons, and 4 small gouramis. The male krib got angry one day- first he murdered his mate. Then the following day he killed the angel, 2 of the dwarf gourami, 3 of the pristellas. The following day 5 out of 6 of the corys were ripped apart, and all the neons were missing.
She removed him after the weekend to the LFS where he had 4 auratus, 6 convicts, and a green terror cowering in a corner after he murdered 2 brichardi a convict and a 6 inch oscar.
This is why I have never bought this fish.
The guy at the LFS where I go once bought 1 male krib, and after it killed his 8 inch angelfish and 2 3 inch blood parrots he returned it to the LFS.
These are the 2 stories I have heard about Kribs. They are hardly peaceful fish.
Besides, think of it this way, your Keyhole Cichlid speaks Spanish, and your Krib speaks African. All it will take is your keyhole accidently insulting the krib and the keyhole will be gone.
They cannot communicate in any way, and it is definetly not recommended to keep African Cichlids with South American Cichlids. Another example is, here in North America the Thumbs Up means its all good, in Australia, it used to mean Up Yours. So when your Keyhole gives the Krib Thumbs Up, it might not mean that to the Krib.

I believe the krib is another fish like RTB sharks, rainbow sharks, and the like. Both my aunt and racso have kept them in community tanks (one was a 29g) successfully. If I remember correctly, in both cases the krib was female. In [link=this thread]http://fishprofiles.com/files/forums/General%20Freshwater/58161.html?200504240428" style="COLOR: #FFFFFF[/link], keithgh brought up an interesting and valid (at least I think so) point that it's possible that gender plays a part in the aggressiveness of fish. I also believe another factor of aggressiveness is the size of the fish upon introduction. For every story I've heard about a full grown angel eating neon tetras, I've heard another saying the exact opposite. The trend seems to be that if the angels are small when they atr introduced to the neons, they leave them alone. Stick a full grown angel in a tank with neons, kiss them goodbye!

That being said, I advise you to watch your krib carefully for signs of aggression. Make sure it has a cave to hide in and call its own. How big is the krib? Male or female? I'm sorry I didn't mention any of this when I initially suggested a krib in your other thread. I didn't think I'd get such opposition
