So i bought a pair of kribensis a little while ago, and nothing seems to be happening. They are in a rocky tank all by themselves with plants. I feed them a mixed variety of flakes with frozen bloodworms frequently. Nothing seems to be exciting them, and i rarely see them, they are always hiding out behind rocks. First, i would really like to get them to breed, but even more importantly i want to see my fish! Any ideas?

Give them a month or so to get settled in. Dont worry they will be begging for food eventually and you will get annoyed that everytime they see you they suction cup to the front glass instead of acting "natural" lol.

well i had a male that was in a tank for around 3 months, and added a female and WOW, but no babies, i guess let them settle in, and then they should come out more.

They'll get around to it. If they haven't already. They hide their brood in caves and will tunnel under stuff to make a suitable nursery.

Just give them some more time, as they may be breeding & they will take care of the fry.

How big are your Kribensis?. Maybe they are too small to breed.

You mentioned rocks in the tank, but are there caves? The female will lay her eggs on cave walls and then the two will guard them. Terra cotta flower pots on their side work quite well and meet their expectations.

I have two terra cotta pots. One larger one and one smaller one. They can fit in both of them, but show no interest.
