Yes, I know all about the differences between male and female....but....
I have 2 kribs, one is definately a female, short fins and round red belly. The other however is smaller, has a lean body, no color on it's belly....but it's fins are the same size as the females. Is it possible it's just a juve, that it will grow longer fins? Or, am I just kidding myself, I really have 2 females?

After taking another, closer look, I believe I have found the problem...maybe. My female krib is a big, fat, greedy, bully!!! I fed them some brine shrimp and she was ALL OVER the place, eating up every morsel, and nipping and chasing the other krib into hiding. I got a better look at his fins while hiding amongst the plants...they're all nipped up! He could have had long flowing fins, but now I'll never know! Is this normal?

The female is all bright and big red-bellied from eating, but the other looks a bit pale, chewed up and stressed!

Kribs definitely prefer to choose their own mate, so putting a male and female together doesn't always work out well (not that it can't work out).

On both fish, is there color running all the way to the end of the dorsal fin on either fish? This is the way I sex them...males have color on top of the dorsal fin to the pointed end, whereas femals have color that stops a mm or two from the end (so the end is clear).
