	Loisellei VS. Freddy
livebait Enthusiast Posts: 211 Kudos: 242 Votes: 76 Registered: 25-May-2004	Whats the difference between P. loiselli and P. fredrichsthali. Reason why I ask is when I first bought my loiselli it was labeled as a Freddy, then was told it was loiselli. A few days ago I traded a mota to get two more loiselli--which were again labeled as Freddys. Now for the past few days my original loiselli has been exhibiting vertical striping. How can I confirm which I have?

Jason_R_S Moderator Posts: 2811 Kudos: 2421 Votes: 391 Registered: 18-Apr-2001	loisellei will show vertical bars when showing aggression but in a normal state they won't. they'll be bright yellow and the top of their head is usually white and sometimes they'll have (especially males) red in the fins. freddys will show vertical bars 99% of the time no matter what their mood. also their base color is more a greenish/yellow than the brighter yellow of a loisellei.
