I was wondering if it's ok to have Multies and Cories together in the same tank? Are they compatible? Also, I plan to breed my Multies, will the cories pose any problems with the fry etc? Any help would be GREAT, thanks!

im assuming your talking about multi (shell dweller)if you plan on breeding i wouldnt add corys to the tank. corys occupy the same areas of the tank as the multis, which will cause harm to the corys since multis are territorial. and if you have babys, the babys hop around in the creveces and trenches multis make around the shells and somtimes go farther out, and are small anuff for the corys to confuse as food. another complication is multis need a pretty high PH and hardness level to breed, that corys dont like.

I wouldn't try it. Both are bottom fish & the Corydoras will be the weaker & may be harmed.

OK, no problem. I was just wondering. I was looking for a possible bottom feeder to add a bit of contrast to the tank but it looks like I'll probably end up keeping it a species tank. Thanks for the info!

if you want a clean up crew, malaysian trumpet snails are probably a good bet. mystery snails also do good but i have alot of problems with them getting logged into the opening of other shells made worse if its a occupied shell and getting picked to death when they breed.
