Glad to see that you're moving your oscars up to a bigger tank. However, a 50 gallon is still not big enough for an oscar, let alone 2.

I would say that a 75 gallon would be a good minimum for a pair of oscars.

Oscars grow quick too. My oscar got from about 1.5 inches to about 12/13 inches in about 8 months. So I hope you have plans for a larger tank in the future.

This will be one of three moves The next will be there permanent home either a 90 or 100 gallon.

We are waiting to deside, for this new tank is going to be built in our new home in the wall =p

Hope that clears things up!

Thanks for saying so anyways =)

glad to see you've already upgraded them and that you have plans for another move when they outgrow the current setup.

Now here's a question for ya, what's in the 29 now that the oscars were in, and what's going in the 50 once the oscars move out?

I'm very glad to hear you have plans for the oscars. They will be happy in either of the tanks. Oscars are prob my favorite large cichlid. I just love them.

They are looking great in their new aquarium! If you have good enough filtration and regular water changes you wont need to move up.
