I have a 90 gallon with some fish I am "borrowing" from my mom. We live less than 5 minutes from eachother so when I got my new home she gave me one of her many fish tanks. With it came along a nice little bunch of african cichlids that I will continue to borrow until I decide what I would like to stock in the tank. My original thought was a Green Terror and some Silver dollars, but I have had them in the past. I am curious about Turquoise / Green / or Gold severums. I have heard alot of good things about them, and was wondering how many could comfortably live in a 90 gallon? Any ideas for tank mates would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

for some reason they like to fight and when i kept 2 in a 110 gallon tank they would fight so i put a divider in the tank. if u wanted to get other fish in the tank i would go with somw type of pleco or large cat fish with a lot of plats and cave/rocks for them to hide in so they will feel safe. if they look like they are getting bullyed u should take out or put more rocks in the tank. a good way for the severums to not get nervous is floating plants but thats all i can help u with right now.

Hi I am a new member but not new to the hobby. If you like cichlids or like me your just crazy about them, or maybe you havent kept many cichlids before. You might think about some convicts as these are easy to care for and lots of fun to watch, not to mention how colorful they are. One thing that I did want to mention is that you would either want to go with the Green Terror or some Silver Dollars as the Green Terror will kill the Silver Dollars as he becomes larger. He dose have this name for a reason. I have a Green Terror but he is with other rough large cichlids and dosent take much off no one in the tank. Most large Cichlids will pick on the weaker fish and Silver Dollars could never defend themself's against such a large powerful fish. Remember when choseing fish for you tank mix them acording to there agressivness. Also the convicts are agressive but they will do fine with that great looking Green Terror your thinking about. Hope this was of some help to ya.
