New Apistos | |
Gone_Troppo Enthusiast Posts: 285 Kudos: 196 Registered: 13-Mar-2007 | Hey I picked up a trio of apistogramma today on an impulse visit to the LFS. They are all currently just under an inch in length and are being housed in my 10g tank. The LFS labelling of the tank was typically poor and they were just labelled as "Dwarf Cichlid - Apistogramma" and they were actually being housed in their "rift lake" section of the store. Two of the fish are very similar in colour and markings while the third appears different, I'm not sure if it's just that it is more stressed, a different gender or a different species completely. Maybe you guys can enlighten me from viewing the pics as I've never kept apistos before...

The two yellow and black ones appear to be doing well though... they've been eating well and have been reasonably active so I have my fingers crossed that they have adjusted to their new surrounds. Only time will tell I guess. G_T Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic. |
