ive just changed my tank over from tropicals to electric yellows and have one male and what im told to be two females.. ive just noticed that my male's face is turning a bit black in depending on the light.. why is this???

jsut a bad strain of fish is all some turn rusty brown others get black patches if u research labs ull find that majority of them originate from 1 pair bad breeding leads to not the best quality of fish however there are some nice ones ive seen in the last few months mine arent the best of quality either as they have brte white bellies but its nothing to worry bout

actually i think the white bellies are from another local where thye get yellow labs, not sure. there is 2 locals they get them i believe, lions cove 1 and lions cove 2. ( goign by memory that isnt the greatest to begin with ) if i remember right lions cove 2 has a white belly. but the blackness is deffinetly from a bad batch. i also have one with a blackend face around what would be the nose hehe. Typicle for chain stores like wal-mart, petco, petsmart type stores. in noway does it effect personality though mine are still screaming with it. Just dont breed them
