![]() | One Agressive Angel |
zer0-60![]() Hobbyist Posts: 117 Kudos: 19 Votes: 0 Registered: 02-Mar-2003 ![]() ![]() | Hey, I have a 29g tank with three small clown loaches (3" long), 8 glowlight tetras (1 to 1.5" ![]() I've had the clowns in there for nearly 2 years, and about 1.5 months ago I added the glowlights and angels. Over the past week or two the slightly larger angel (white/silver color) has been (periodically) quite agressive towards the other (silver/white with black stripes). Seems to chase it, pick at it, etc. For the first couple of weeks they were fine together, but now they don't get along at all. Is there a reason behind this? I know angels can be quite territorial and that they should be added to the tank last. What should I do? Thanks |

Clown loaches get large (12" - look at keithgh's clowns if you dont believe me, they are huge). You'd need around a 100 gallon for them. If you return the clowns, or get them a new tank, then you can get a 40 or 50 gallon for the angels. You then can add a third male to distribute and lower the aggression. Since you took out the clowns, you can add cories. You can kick up your tetra school too, or add another. |
