Mine went thru a big growth spurt until ~4-5" then slowed down. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I used to have 3 oscars in a 24 inch tank (that's the biggest I could afford and allowed by my parents). I remembered that they ate like pigs and grew like weeds. I fed them once daily with bloodworms only.. and occassionally feeder guppies. But they will eat until their bellys like balloons. In a few months, they grew from 2 inches to around 8 - 9 inches. Two of them formed a pair and brutally killed the 3rd one . So oscars are really fish that grow fast even in most adversed conditions. I believe something's wrong with you fish. Could it be stunted or having some kind of internal parasites? How does it take its food? I remembered mine used to attack their food like wild paranas.. especailly when feeder guppies were in the menu. |
