jester_fu Big Fish Posts: 395 Kudos: 522 Votes: 12 Registered: 26-Jan-2004 | Long term, a 55G will NOT be suitable. You'll need a tank that is a minimum of 4' long * 2' high * 2' deep. Thats approximately 70Gallons. The width/depth is VERY important as your Oscar can grow up to 15"s. Commonly, they hit 12-13" in about 2 years. Having a tank smaller than 2' wide will stunt the fish as it will not be able to turn properly. |
