![]() | Overstocked?? |
brianhh1230![]() Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 02-Jan-2005 ![]() ![]() | Hey I'm more knowledgeable in Oscars and larger cichlids but I recently have gotten a 55 gallon tank setup with 2 Blood parrots, and 1 upside down catfish which is at his full size of 6 inches, my question is do you guys think my tank can handle a firemouth, they only get around 6 inches and I think he would add to the look of the tank. I have a fluval 404 and emp 400 for my filtration so I got that covered, I just wanted a 2nd opinion on whether you think it might be overstocked. Thanks for any advice. And I'm not a newb or anything I just like a 2nd opinion on this one before I get one. |

The parrots get big and are going to be pushing the 55 gallon by themselves. They probably won't reach peak size but i have two in a 33 gallon and they are as happy as can be, or so it seems. Again, i'd wait for others to confirm but you've got the green light from me. |

You could get a pair of Firemouths or maybe even a Firemouth and a JD. Severums and Convicts would also be possibilities. |
