Hi there.

My Wife really likes this Cichlid and I would like to know how does it get along with livebearers corydoras bettas and Cardinals.

Does any one has any experience or has some oppinion about this.

Note that She also likes Balloon Mollys so It's probable she wants them together.

Thanks
Miguel

Right now i have 2 parrots in with 4 tiger barbs and other cichlids and they are doing great. parrots cant close their mouths so they cant really nip at anything, but they do this strange head butt thing preety neat, but they do have a good force behind, but all and all they would be rgeat tankmates

what is the size of the tank we are dealing with. parrots can get very large, and should not be kept with smaller fish, due to power. like stated they cant close there mouths so they can really eat the smaller fish.

besides the color issue, a note is that if u after them for the odd colors, they only last 2-3 months before tehy turn back to red/yellow/orange.

Note that though they cant close their mouths, they still can manage to eat cardinals, neons, and other small fish when they are mature. (Way back when I had 2 with oscars, they would eat some of the 1" feeders)

what is the tank size??? i would say,no if they are going to be added to a community tank. discus should be kept spereate, due to their delgate nature, parrots will be to strong swimmers for that tank.

hi bettachris.

The size of the thank isn't really a issue here coz I'm Progecting Christmas as a new tank by then. Still don't know the size but first I want to decide what to put in there so that I can get things right this time.

Thanks.
