Apistogramma borelli are really peaceful little fish according to all I've read. I've not kept them, but I want to someday.

Slightly larger choices are Laetacara curviceps (the old flag cichlid), but they're about 3 inches and impossible to sex (it's the old flowing/longer fins, but they're much less noticable than on your bolivians). I had a pair for about a year that never spawned. They got along well, so it could have been two of the same sex or simply that they needed more time...very nice fish though.

You might try the bolivian ram. They grow to around 2 inches, are very peaceful, and are also colorful. The only problem is that you might have to order them, I haven't seen any in a store before.

Rams grow about 2 inches & are peaceful fish (except when breeding).

Electric yellows are an african cichlid, I dont think they would work in that tank.
Perhaps a pair of Gold Rams? German Blues?
How about a pair of Keyhole Cichlids? I head keyholes are very peaceful, almost timid even, and would fit well in with what you already have! Very attractive fish as well, would accent your Bolivian Rams nicely.
