I'd suggest more than two - they're quite aggressive with conspecifics and the best way to balance that aggresson is to keep them in large groups, like Tropheus. Feed a vegetarian diet and keep the water spotlessly clean.

Also, there are a few back issues of Cichlid News that have good articles on them - it's probably worth your while to get ahold of them.

I think you could have (and would want) many more than 7 fish in the 150. Four Tropheus very easily become one Tropheus, and my understanding is that the same is true of Petros. I'd get some top-notch filtration and keep a real colony of the tropheus (12+ individuals) and at least 6 Petros (or just one).

Weslet, what do you guys have in as far as loricariids go? I'm visiting houston this weekend, actually, I'm leaving today at around 4 pac. Can you recommend me other fine stores selection wise in relation to loricariids/catfish in general? I heard fish land was quite nice.

My LFS has one of these that was returned by an owner because it ate all other fish in the tank. I was considering buying it but was warned to keep it with much bigger agressive fish. It does look really nice in the isolation tank in the store. I think it is retailing for $39.99.

A little more info about the Petrochromis trewavasae;
attains a length of about 18 cm
extremely aggressive to conspesifics (as most all Petrochromis are)
will do OK with tropheus
and dates back to Poll 1948
