They seem to be ok. their collours are bright and they are active although a little Shy as normal. the question I have is: Is it normal for them to feed on Mid-Bottom levels or should they come to the surface? And How can I see what sex are theirs? I've already saw profiles but i can't figure it out Thanks for your replys. Face up make your stand and realize your living in the golden Years |

They are mid-bottom fish & for me, they are quite difficult to sex. Other's will tell you how, but i don't think it's that easy. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I've only bought the first one 6 days ago and then i bought the other one 4 days ago but funny as it may seem the first one has better collors but the second one tends to be more sociable. the I've also named them both because Ramirezi is very close to Ramirez Witch is a Tuna Company so I named one TENORIO and the other one BOM PETISCO witch are 2 other brands of tunna. This info can be found in the profiles section of this site. caled |

Even though it does occur more often in females, I don't think it is a fully-reliable way to sex these fish, also because not all females have the pink belly patch. The best way to sex rams is to look at the second and third rays of the dorsal fin. Males will have a "spike" there; the second and third rays will be longer than all of the others. Female rams lack this spike. You can search Google.com for images of male and female ram cichlids, and maybe the visual aids will help you out. Last edited by sirbooks at 08-Aug-2005 22:16 |
